DC Announces New Real Estate Website
First in the United States to be deployed Tulare; August 8, 2012

The Economic Development Corporation, which serves the cities of Dinuba, Exeter, Farmersville, Lindsay, Porterville, Tulare, Visalia, Woodlake and the unincorporated communities of Tulare County, announced the launch of its new real estate website. Working over the last year with Area Development Magazine & Fast Facility LLC, the EDC has become the first in the nation to use this new technology. “We are excited about providing more information and opportunities for companies looking to grow and expand their businesses in our region” stated PEDC President & CEO Paul Saldana. Dennis Shea, President & Publisher of Area Development and a Partner in Fast Facility added “The EDC serving Tulare County has been on the leading edge of economic development for the last decade and partnering with them on this new and innovative tool will not only help create new jobs in the local community but will also serve as a best practice as they lead other organizations to apply similar technologies.

Online real estate databases for economic development are not new; however, the technology that is being used is unique in that it combines information on available building and sites with demographic information, as well as allowing users to view sites using a number of mapping options, including topographic, street views, terrain, and other options. “These features will provide companies and their consultants the opportunity to take a virtual tour of our communities and see the vast array of options available to them” Saldana stated. “We have worked to create a user friendly site with the necessary information that companies need to find the right site” Shea added. The EDC and Area Development Magazine are conducting a nationwide marketing and advertising campaign promoting the new site through print, electronic and direct mail media.
